We are so excited to say that our eggs have hatched and we now have fluffy bundles of gorgeousness to look after! The children have been helping to feed and water the chicks as well as gently stroking them and holding them. Next week, when they are a little older, they will be delivered back to the farm where they will range freely producing lots of yummy eggs. Welcome to Little Pips little ones!
Our gorgeous tadpoles have sprouted some legs and are slowly transforming into frogs. The children love watching them change each day!
After much patient waiting and observing, our caterpillars have almost made their incredible transformation into butterflies! Once they are fully formed, our children will help to release them into the garden. What an amazing experience for all of our little pips!
Our little pips at both nurseries have been very busy, lovingly making some delicious biscuits for our mummies to enjoy. It was lovely to be able to share this with so many of you, even those who were rushing off to work! We hope you enjoyed your treat 🙂
We would like to wish you all a very happy new year! May it be filled with happiness and joy! Our children will also be celebrating Chinese New Year in the next few weeks with special dances and some tasty food.
Our wonderful little pips at both nurseries have been sharing their amazing Nativity performances with our parents and carers. They sung with gusto and outshone even the brightest stars! A very big well done to everyone who took part and a special thank you to our amazing team of ladies who worked so hard to get everything together. A warm thank you to Spencer and his fantastic team from The Emmanuel Church for kindly hosting our performance in Chippenham. Well done everyone and a very Merry Christmas!
We have been exploring Autumn colours and textures and making some exciting finds! Our babies in Chippenham have been very busy finding some beautiful autumnal objects including different coloured leaves and some acorns too! They love feeling the different textures and looking at the colours and shapes. What clever finders! Our Cheltenham Wise Owls (pre school) have had great fun finding different ways for their animals to move through a maze of bridges, ramps and autumn leaves whilst dodging the spiky fir cones. Great exploration!
Once again we had a fantastic turnout from parents to celebrate our MacMillan coffee morning on the 29th of September. We had a wonderful morning with our parents chatting over cups of tea, while both mums and dads enjoyed home made cakes along with the children! It was a fantastic morning enjoyed by all! Yet again, there was stiff competition between the ladies as to who would be the star baker, and this year the winner was Lucy Watts in the Totts room with her pigs swimming in a chocolate cake! Well done Lucy! We had lots of fun, and raised a fantastic £86! A big thank you and well done to all who attended!
Thursday the 13th of September was the birthday of the creator of Fantastic Mr Fox, Roald Dahl! The children in Cheltenham thoroughly enjoyed celebrating this by listening to stories read by the wonderful ladies at nursery, and by dressing up in their nursery made Fantastic Mr Fox masks to visit the residents at Sandfields residential home. Whilst here, they enjoyed listening to stories read by the residents, by doing some colouring in and sharing some fruit… even a peach or two. Everyone had a superb day!
The Little Pips in Cheltenham spent the day talking about their Summer trips and the holidays that they had been on. Some of the children had been camping and told everyone how they had had marshmallows around the camp fire. Some of our children hadn’t done this before, so Natalie our manager decided to set up camp and toast the marshmallows! Lots of sticky hands, but lots and lots of fun!
